Upgrading Canopy subscription does not require reinstall

Don't Reinstall, Just Upgrade!

For users who started by using Canopy Express and wish to upgrade to a paid subscription, there is no need to uninstall and reinstall Canopy. Once you have paid for an upgrade to your account (Canopy with Python Essentials or Canopy Triple Play), you will then immediately have access to all of the included packages from within Canopy, and Canopy's Package Manager provides the option to download all packages in the official Canopy repository. After upgrading, you may need to restart Canopy or log out and then log back in. Please see this article for more information if you are having issues gaining access to your subscription benefits.
