OSX - Pasting to the notebook

Does anyone know why command+v does not work on the ipython notebook to paste code into the interactive editor?

    I have the same issue.

    cmd + c copies text

cmd + v jumps to the first (top left) position in a cell

right click with the mouse and select paste works. It's a little annoying...

Same here, Cmd + v does not work, and I need to go to the menu and select edit, paste to paste things .

Me too!  It may seem like a trivially small issue, but for me, it is almost enough to give up on Canopy and go back to using a web browser for iPython

Indeed, an ongoing annoyance, our apologies. We've been focusing instead on improving stability, but this issue is scheduled to be fixed in Canopy 1.3 in early February.

Thanks for the response!  While you are in the Edit menu, it would also be very helpful to have an Undo command, with the standard shortcut, Cmd +z.

If I remember well, version 1.2 fixed this and allowed to paste into the notebook. Unfortunately, I applied the latest update to 1.3.0.1715 and now it does not work again and also the menu icons are removed. In other words, I have version 1.3.x and the problem is not solved :(

Sorry for the trouble, William. It actually was not fixed in Canopy 1.2. 1.3 had to be released early without all hoped-for fixes (so some users could have Python 2.7.6), but I really do expect the fix in 1.4 in mid-March. You can still paste into the notebook with right-click.
